Property Appraiser, Wesley Davis, announces changes to ensure public safety and continued services.
“My primary duty as Property Appraiser is to serve Indian River County citizens”, said Indian River County Property Appraiser, Wesley Davis said in a statement outlining changes in the Property Appraiser's office to help continue to provide necessary services and ensure safety.
"Many of our neighbors who visit our offices are in a high-risk group," said Davis. "To limit the need for applicants to visit our office in person I am announcing a series of changes effective March 18, 2020.
1. It is no longer necessary for the public to come to the Property Appraiser's to receive needed services. Effective 5pm Wednesday March 18, 2020, direct to the public in person services by Property Appraiser personnel will be temporarily suspended in all three locations, Main Office at the County Complex, Beachside and Sebastian will be closed to public access.
2. However, due to the recent launch of ircpa.org website, we now have the ability to continue uninterrupted service to both professional and casual users without requiring a personal visit. Our employees will continue to work to ensure that all residents and businesses may access all the functions and information they need without having to visit any location in person. This includes the ability to file online for Homestead exemptions.

Wesley Davis has approved extensions up to 45 days upon request but requests for extensions MUST be filed by March 31. Extension request forms can be found HERE.
